There's a New Sheriff in Town; Kirk Brown Takes Down Event #8: Triple Quad Draw for $3,605!

After playing some 2/5 NL cash, Kirk Brown decided it was a good idea to max late reg Event #9: $300 Triple Quad Draw...

He immediately got off to a hot start by making a 6 badugi and getting 3 multi-way streets of value and he was immediately at the top of the counts!

He then rode this momentum all the way to the final two tables until he lost a giant pot with a wheel draw in A-5 to Joseph Scheinberg.

Brown was then barely able to squeak into the money and entered the final table for only 17k at 5k/10k blinds...

But that didn't stop him as he quickly scooped 2 back to back Dramaha Pots and he was back in the running! He then quickly built his stack back up and managed to get heads up with none other than Matt Cosentino!

The two then proceeded to play for THREE HOURS, just battling back-and-forth as neither player wanted to give up or even discuss a chop.

In the end, it came down to an A-5 hand where Brown stood pat on a T9832 and Cosentino was forced to draw to an 8 on the final pull. Unfortunately, Cosentino paired his 3 and was eliminated as the runner-up as Brown's one-man rail of Jonathan Park cheered him on!

Brown was then announced the Triple Quad Draw champion and was presented with the coveted trophy and $3,605 for his outstanding performance.

Congratulations to me!
