Bubble Burst by Wei's Elimination

Players did not experience a long pay bubble. On the second hand of hand-for-hand, Brittney Cammack opened from the button for 16,000 at the 4,000/8,000/8,000 blind level. Alexander Wei raised from the small blind to 55,000 which Cammack quickly called.

The flop was paired with 9♦9♠6♥. Wei continued with a down bet to 35,000. Cammack lifted it up to 105,000 without much thought. Alarm bells were surely going off for Wei but he eventually called to reevaluate things on the turn.

The turn brought the 7♣. Wei started this street with a check. Cammack effectively snap jammed as the covering stack. All other tables were done with their action and all players waited patiently as Wei weighed his options.

After a few minutes, Wei called and was devastated to see Cammack table A♥9♥ for trips. Wei tabled his T♣T♦ and was drawing live to a T but the A♦ river burst the bubble instead.

The 35 players remaining in the field each locked up $480 but it's the top prize of $15,125 that Cammack and the remaining players really want.
