One Hand of Hand for Hand

In a game of chopped pots, hand-for-hand could take forever. That wasn't the case in Event #3: $15k GTD Big O tonight.

Tournament Director Joshua Atkins had just announced hand-for-hand and gave the dealers instruction to deal one hand. Blinds were at 5,000/10,000/10,000 and all the chips quickly got in the middle preflop between Benjamin Andrews and Ramin Ramazi. Andrews was at risk.

Cards on their backs
Andrews: A♣A♦8♦T♠7♥
Ramazi: A♥8♥4♦3♦2♣
Board: T♥6♥5♦A♠K♥

Ramazi's flop was great for the low draw. For the high, Ramazi had both the nut flush draw and a low wrap. Andrews was holding for the high as he turned top set on the A turn, which also delivered the unbreakable low to Ramazi. However, Ramazi flushed out on the river to scoop the pot and just like that Andrews was out of the tournament on the bubble.

The remaining 14 players have each locked up $780 but everyone has their eyes set on the $9,050 up top.
