Begham Takes Title Event Down (E#11-D3)
After making a heads up deal, Joe Firova and Michael Begham are now playing for approximately $6,000 and a $2,200 seat to the PokerAtlas Tour Venetian event. Begham has a large chip lead but Firova isn't backing down.
On hand 156 of the final table, Michael Begham opened to 1.6 million on blinds of 400,000/800,000/800,000. Joe Firova moved all in for 7.3 million and Begham made the call.
Firova: A♠2♦
Begham: K♣J♠
Firova was at risk but ahead with ace high. Begham could afford to double Firova up but that would be of little concern with the J♣J♦9♦ flop. Firova would have to go perfect-perfect on turn and river with running diamonds or aces. The 2♥ ended the tournament on the turn and the 6♦ river completed the board.
Congratulations to both players as they both take down huge six figure payouts after three days of play!
Firova takes home $194,130 for second place and Michael Begham, the 2025 PokerAtlas Tour Title Event Champion, takes home $200,000 for first place!
