One of the worst experiences in tournament poker: getting knocked out and players immediately adjust the prize pool before you've left the table. That is exactly what happened in the half and half at TCH Dallas.
With blinds at 3,000/6,000/6,000 on a round of NLH, Christopher Benoy opened the lojack to 12,000 and Vicente Sanchez moved all in from the hijack. Benoy made the call once action folded around to him.
Sanchez was in great shape to double up with his red kings dominating Benoy's black sixes. Fate had different plans as the 6♥ was right behind the door card.
Sanchez: K♥K♦
Benoy: 6♠6♣
Board: 8♦6♥4♣2♠5♠
In brutal fashion, Sanchez was on his way out of the tournament area as two tables of players agreed to pay the bubble. Sanchez leaves with nothing and the next player out receives $300.
