Jay Chase got thrown in the blender but he came out just fine.

On blinds of 1,500/2,500/2,5000, Chase was in the big blind facing an open to 5,000 from Tamper Wheeler in the UTG+2. Chase defended.

The flop brought a connected J♣T♠9♠. Chase check-called Wheeler's 5,000 continuation. Action again went check-bet-call of 5,000 on the 8♣ turn. The K♦ river completed the board. Chase checked and Wheeler ripped his stack in for 83,500. Chase went into a deep tank.

The clock was eventually called on Chase and halfway through his 30-second countdown he put in the call. Wheeler was slow to show. Chase tabled 9♦7♦ for a low straight. Wheeler's pocket fours were no good. Wheeler was out and Chase dragged the pot.

79 players remain. 31 players will finish in the money with 24 moving on to Monday's day two restart.
