LC: Akin Avoids the Chop, then Pops the Bubble

Short-stacked Matthew Rose moved all in preflop and was tank-called by big stack Christopher Akin to put him at risk.

Rose shrugged and flipped over 6♠2♣ and was shocked when Akin flipped over a dominating 8♦2♠.

It looked like the two players were going to chop it up on the turn K♦J♣3♥T♠, but the river was the 8♠ to give Akin the win, eliminating Rose.

A few hands later, Ashish Khanna moved all in from the button for 69k with K♠Q♥ and was called by Akin in the big blind who woke up with 9♣9♦.

A king appeared right on the flop of J♦5♦K♥ to give Khanna the lead, but the 9♠ appeared right on the turn to leave him drawing only to a ten. Unfortunately for him, the river was a Q♦ to send him to the rail while the rest of the players made the money.
