With blinds at 500/1,000/1,000, Kirk Mohammed opened UTG to 2,500. He was called by the cutoff, button, and big blind by Weldon Thompson, Brad Koegel, and Kyler Scheriger respectively.

The foursome went to the flop of 6♣3♣2♥. Scheriger checked, Mohammed continued for 4,500 and both Thompson and Koegel called. Scheriger had set the trap from the big blind. He put in the check-jam for 33,700.

Mohammed folded after some time and Thompson quickly moved in over the top for 82,500. Koegel had a decision and a covering stack with roughly 109,000 behind. After a few minutes, Koegel folded. Scheriger tabled 6♦2♣ for top and bottom pair. Thompson tabled a combo draw with A♣4♣.

There was no waiting for Thompson. He turned the nut flush with the 7♣. Scheriger would need a 6 or 2 on the river but it did not come. Scheriger was eliminated but still has a chance to reenter with an hour of registration still open.
