Anderson and Planck Collide (1C)

Players are now in the money in Flight C of the $100k GTD Bounty Roundup. Theophilus Anderson is chip leading the remaining seven players and just collided with the second biggest stack on the table.

Players recently returned from a 10-minute break to blinds of 3,000/6,000/6,000. Brett Planck opened to 15,000 from the cutoff and Anderson called in the small blind. The rest of the table looked on as the chip leaders started to build a pot.

The rainbow flop of J♠9♥2♣ was checked by Anderson. Planck bet 15,000 and Anderson called without much hesitation.

The 4♥ turn was checked down by both players before the K♣ river brought some action out of Anderson. He led out for 15,000. Planck reached for raising chips and announced 60,000. Anderson snapped and tabled jacks for a flopped set.

Planck was in disbelief as he tabled king-jack for top two-pair. Anderson said that he would've raised any other player at the table but it didn't make sense given Planck's stack. Planck lost the minimum.
