Day 2: Lester Goes on a Tear!

David Shaw opened to 300k UTG and was called by Charles Sims, but then James Lester 3bet to 1m. Shaw made the call, Sims folded, and the two players went to a flop of 4♥6♦8♥.

Lester then promptly moved all in for 3.55m and Shaw went deep in the tank.

"That's a helluva bet, James," he admitted before he finally tossed his cards to the muck. Lester then showed him the goods with A♣A♠ as he raked in the pot.

Just a few hands later, Lester got involved in a betting war with Jose Martinez, who moved all in from the big blind and Lester snap-called. Martinez flipped over A♣8♥ but Lester had A♥A♠ again!

The flop of 8♠T♣K♦ gave Martinez a glimmer of hope for trip eights, but the runout of 9♣6♣ could not do it and he was eliminated in 10th place.
