Go Back Up

Gaulani the Bounty Hunter (D2)

"I'm live," Gaulani said. "I just wanted that green chip."

Players had just returned from their second break of the day. Blinds had gone up to 20,000/40,000/40,000 and Connel Shelton moved all-in from the hijack. Action folded to Rahil Gaulani in the small blind. He asked for a count and then announced he was calling the 345,000. Jonathan Park folded his big blind and cards were on their backs.

Shelton tabled A♣8♥. "I'm live," Gaulani said. "I just wanted that green chip."

Shelton: A♣8♥
Gaulani: Q♥J♠
Board: 9♣8♣3♦2♦Q♠

Shelton was holding until the Q♠ river. Gaulani dragged the pot and Shelton's green bounty chip with it. Gaulani now has five bounty chips. Trevor Doughty is leading with seven bounty chips; Alex Vo and Benjamin Harris have six.

Gaulani is pulling into position as the final table bubble looms. Whoever reaches the final table with the most bounty chips wins the entire bounty prize pool of $15,600 (10% of the total prize pool).

Players are now going through a three-table redraw while Shelton collects $670 for 28th at the payout cage. Shelton also double bagged so there is an additional $1,000 waiting for him at the window.
