Day 2: Briongos Mendez Eliminated in 7th Place ($4,990)

After Zachary Hammons called his river bluff in a big pot, Briongos Mendez moved all in the very next hand and was called by Hammons once again to put him at risk. 

Mendez tabled 8♦8♠ and was ahead of A♦K♣, but an ace appeared right in the window of the flop A♥9♦4♣ to give Hammons the lead. The runout of 2♠J♦ failed to provide an eight for Mendez and he was eliminated from the tournament in 7th place.
