Liftoff 1G: Wamwiri Doubles Through Toralba, then Busts Normand

After a preflop betting war, Nick Toralba and Daniel Wamwiri got all of their chips in preflop, with Toralba covering.

Wamwiri tabled Q♦Q♥ and was flipping against the A♠K♠ of Toralba. Fortunately for Wamwiri, no aces or kings appeared on the jack-high runout and he was awarded the pot for a double.

The very next hand, Wamwiri opened to 15k and the action folded to Derek Normand who moved all in for around 100k.

"This is a value shove! For anyone else, this would be a bluff, but this is for value!" Normand announced as Wamwiri pondered the decision.

"Alright, let's do it," Wamwiri finally said and made the call and tabled A♥2♥ putting Normand at risk.

"See! I told you it was for value!" Normand shouted as he flipped over a superior A♦8♠.

Unfortunately for Normand, the runout of 4♣J♦5♦4♣2♠ gave WaWamwirimriri a pair of deuces on the river to send him to the rail in brutal fashion.
