Day 2: Lynch Runs Down Moreno

Written by Kirk | May 19, 2025 2:27:58 AM

Walter Lynch had made it 250k to go preflop when William Moreno moved all in for 710 total. Lynch then went into the tank for nearly a minute before he finally begrudgingly decided to make the call.

Lynch tabled 7♠5♠ and was in bad shape against the A♠8♠ held by Moreno.

"Well, that's really not the suit I was hoping to be up against," he joked as the flop came out 6♣J♣A♥ to give Moreno top pair.

The turn 8♣ further improved Moreno to two pair, but it also gave Lynch an open-ended straight draw. Sure enough, the river was the 4♠ to give Lynch the straight and he was awarded the pot while Moreno hit the rail.
