The last time the folks with the PokerAtlas Tour saw Chase Bricker, he was cashing three different times in their August 2023 stop at Texas Card House Dallas.
Sunday, Bricker won $1 Million as winner of the ClubWPT Gold $5 Million freeroll at Wynn Las Vegas.
A regular in many of the TCH Dallas daily tournaments, Bricker's previous-best cash was in Dallas in 2022 for $75k. He travels with Dallas-area players like La Sengphet to tournaments around the country.
“It’s just surreal right now, it’s just an amazing experience to have all my friends on the rail for me. And just this amazing tournament with these bounties. The final table there’s a lot of swings and I just got hot at the right time - it’s incredible. Cloud nine," Bricker told WPT staff after his victory.
Bricker told WPT staff he sees this million-dollar-cash as a way to focus on family, not as much on poker.
“This is life-changing money. Security. That money needs to mean something is how I look at it,” he said. “I look at it as an opportunity, frankly, to elevate my life, and my family’s life, and my future family’s life. I’m definitely going to still compete in tournaments, but it doesn’t mean I’m going to go play high rollers or stuff like that…well, maybe every once in a while.”
