Above-Average Flop for Normand

The action was picked up after a preflop raise from Thomas Brown and the action folded to Derek Normand in the big blind who moved all in for a little over 40k.

The action was back to Brown who thought about it for a few moments before he emphatically set out a stack to make the call.

Brown flipped over A♣T♠ and was in great shape against the 6♠5♦ of Normand, but he couldn't believe the flop of K♦5♠6♥ as it gave Normand two pair for a big lead. The T♥ on the turn gave Brown some outs, but the river was the 9♠ to award Normand the unlikely double.

Ironically, Brown got it in with A♣T♣ again the very next hand but failed to improve aginst the pocket fives of Kelvin Jones and he was sent to the rail.
