One-Day: Faircloth Doubles, then Exits

Jason Faircloth open-jammed for 32,000 and was called by Varadarajan Iyengar on the button while the rest of the players folded.

Faircloth tabled Q♥T♥ and would need to improve against the A♠J♠ of Iyengar. Sure enough, the runout of Q♣4♦K♥8♠8♦ paired his queen to score him the double.

A few hands later, Faircloth open-ripped once more, this time for 64,000, and the action folded to Anthony Truong in the big blind.

After some deliberation, Truong decided to make the call to put Faircloth at risk and the cards were on their backs.

Faircloth: 3♣3♦
Truong: K♥J♥

The flop of Q♦7♥4♠ was safe for Faircloth and his threes, but the turn J♣ gave the lead to Truong and the river 2♥ sent him to the rail.

Truong = 195,000
Faircloth - 0
