Opener 1G: Stum Takes it Down; Noh Bounces Back

Youn Noh opened to 20,000 but was then raised to 40,000 by John Stum in the big blind. After some thought, Noh decided to make the call and the two players went to the flop of J♠8♣8♥, which both players checked.

On the turn T♦, Stum led for 40,000, Noh raised to 80,000, and Stum called.

The river fell the 2♠ and both players checked.

Stum shrugged and tabled K♣J♣ for jacks and eights and Noh mucked his hand to award him the pot.

Luckily for Noh, he managed to rake in a sizeable pot the very next hand to boost his stack back up.

Stum - 435,000
Noh - 385,000
