1G: Duncan Flushes Baier's Aces
On a three-way flop of 4♠T♦7♠, Robert Duncan and Dexter Baier both checked to mark Jefferson, who bet 10,000. Then Duncan check-raised all-in for 48,500 and Baier quickly did the same for slightly less. After some head-scratching, Jefferson made the call to put both players at risk.
"Well, I think I've got to fade two pair and a bunch of draws," Baier said as he tabled A♠A♣ and was up against Duncan with 9♠T♠ for a pair and a flush draw and Jefferson with 8♥9♦ for an open-ender.
The turn A♦ was the best card in the deck for Baier, but the 6♠ on the river was the absolute worst as Jefferson made his straight but Duncan also made his flush to scoop the entire pot, eliminating Baier.
Duncan - 165,000
Jefferson - 53,000
