Normand Doubles with Ace-High, Then Exits

After an open to 800 from Steven Doherty to 800, Derek Normand three-bet to 4,200. The action folded back to Doherty who made the call and the two went to the flop of 10♠9♣K♣.

Doherty checked, Normand moved all in for 8,600, and Doherty called to put him at risk.

Normand: A♣Q♥
Doherty: Q♣8♦

Normand was in the lead with his ace-high and the runout of kept it that way to earn him the pot for the double.

Normand  then got it all in preflop the very next hand with pocket jacks and was called by Garrett McChristian with ace-king.

The runout of A♥9♣3♠K♦10♣ was not what Normand wanted to see and the pot was awarded to McChristian.

"Just give them whatever they need," Normand sighed as he headed to the cage to load another bullet.

Normand - 30,000
McChristian - 71,500
Doherty - 22,000
