After a long and arduous heads-up battle, short-stacked Charles Sims moved all in preflop and was snap-called by Harold Vetter to put him at risk, the title on the line.
Sims: A♦7♣
Vetter: K♣K♥
Sims would need to improve to stay alive, but the runout of 8♠3♣10♥J♦J♠ could not do it for him and he was eliminated as the tournament's runner-up.
Prior to heads-up play, the two of them agreed to a deal that guaranteed them $27,000 each and they would play for the remainder, so Sims walked away with a nice payout!
Meanwhile, Vetter was crowned the champion and awarded the grand prize of $32,960!
Congratulations to Harold!
