Muthu Veerappan opened to 450,000 preflop and was called by Ma Long to see a flop of J♠6♠5♣.

Long checked, Veerappan bet small for 250,000, and Long called to go to the turn 10♣.

Long checked again, and Veerappan continued for 750,000, but this time Long check-raised to 1,750,000. 

After some thought, Veerappan made the call and the twp saw the 10♥ fall on the river. 

Long moved all in, and Veerappan let out a deep sigh but tossed out a call chip anyway, putting his tournament life on the line. 

To his amazement, Long rolled over A♦A♥ against his K♦J♦ and the pot was shipped his way while he was eliminated as the runner-up.
