1C: Gibson Gets There; Jones and Hensley Exit
Shelby Hensley opened to 10,000 UTG and then Edward Jones moved all in for 80,000. The action folded to John Gibson in the big blind who just called the 80,000 but them Hensley shoved for around 160,000 to cover Gibson.
"Ugh, I was afraid of that," Gibson admitted, but he went ahead and put the rest of his chips in to put himself at risk.
Jones: 6♣2♣
Gibson: A♦K♠
Hensley: Q♣Q♠
"I apologize in advance for what is about to happen," Jones laughed as he stood up to sweat.
The flop of K♣7♣6♦ sure was a doozy as Gibson took the lead with his king but Jones also picked up a pair and a flush draw to make it a sweat. Alas, the runout of 3♥10♦ changed nothing and Jones was sent to the rail while Gibson nearly tripled up.
Left short, Hensley exited soon after to Bryan Goldsmith.
Gibson - 355,000
Goldsmith - 110,000
Hensley - 0
Jones - 0
