Day 2: Fitzgerald Claws Back

After doubling up Jessica Richards 88<99, short-staked Michael Fitzgerald got it all in preflop with J-4 against the 6-T of Scotty Smith.

Smith was feeling good when a six appeared in the window, but a jack appeared right behind it to give Fitzgerald top pair. The turn was a four to improve him to two pair and the river 2♦ scored him the pto for the double.

Soon after, Fitzgerald got it all in preflop with A♣K♦ against the A♦Q♣ of Jonathan Park. Much to Fitzgerald's dismay, a queen appeared right on the flop of Q♦2♣3♥... but the K♣ smacked down on the turn!

"CAN'T KILL ME!" Fitzgerald stood up and shouted as the chips were pushed his way for the double.

Fitzgerald - 1,400,000
Park - 4,000,000
Smith - 2,400,000
