Day 2: Sirowy Spikes River to Soar into Chip Lead

Eric Yates opened to 125,000 from the cutoff and Jaxon Sirowy called from the button to see a flop of 4♣9♠5♦. 

Yates continued for 125,000, then Sirowy raised to 310,000, and Yates responded by three-betting to 900,000. Sirowy then four-bet jammed for 1,115,000 and Yates snap-called to put him at risk. 

Sirowy tabled A♦9♥ for top pair but he was in bad shape against the K♦K♥ of Yates. The turn 2♦ changed nothing but the river was the miracle A♥ to give Sirowy the win in this monster pot.
