Players in Flight 1B of the PLO Multi-Flight fought hard on the money bubble. The bubble lasted multiple levels and ends as players are about to be sent on a 15-minute break.
On blinds of 2,500/5,000/5,000, Simon Webster limped in from the hijack and Charles Keisling also limped in from the button. Hunter Cichy raised to 25,000 from the small blind and was called by both Webster and Keisling.
The flop brought A♠J♦5♥. Cichy declared pot as he moved his chips forward. His all-in of 81,000 held. Webster quickly folded and Keisling paused briefly before calling it off as the covering stack.
Cichy: A♦K♣Q♦J♥
Keisling: A♥Q♠7♥3♣
Cichy had flopped top two pair with a gutshot to broadway. Keisling had top pair with the backdoor nut flush draw.
The A♣ on the turn had Keisling drawing dead to a queen for a chop. The 6♦ river secured the double up for Cichy and crippled Keisling. Keisling was left with 19,500.
A few hands later, Chris Meza opened to 15,000 UTG. Keisling went all-in for 19,500. Action paused in the hijack with Cichy. Cichy elected to isolate with a pot-sized raise to 81,000. Action folded around.
Cichy: A♠A♦6♠3♥
Keisling: A♣9♥7♣7♦
Board: J♥5♠2♦2♠Q♣
Keisling didn't pick up any sweat equity on the flop or turn. He was drawing to a seven for a two-outer, which never came.
Keisling was eliminated on the bubble and the remaining players locked up $875. There will be two more eliminations before the last four players bag up and return Sunday for Day Two.
