Doubles on the Bubble

It seems like this money bubble is going to last a while.

Hand-for-hand started with the blinds at 3,000/6,000/6,000 but after three hands and no eliminations players were sent on a 10-minute break.

Action resumed on blinds of 4,000/8,000/8,000. On the 9th hand of hand-for-hand, Ricardo Eyzaguirre moved all-in from the cutoff for 189,000 effective. Pejman "Premo" Niyati was right behind him on the button and jammed over the top.

Players waited for the action to complete on the other table and then tabled their cards for the runout.

Eyzaguirre: A♦K♦
Niyati: Q♠Q♣
Board: A♣9♦6♠8♦4♥

Niyati tried to prepay in order to get additional equity but the flop came ace-high for Eyzaguirre to take the lead. Niyati couldn't find a red queen on the turn or river and Eyzaguirre doubled up.

In the next hand, there was an all-in and call on the other table.

Jacob Meeks had open-jammed for 78,000 from UTG+1 and Sami Saeaemaenen flatted in the hijack. Action folded out and players rolled their cards.

Meeks: T♣T♦
Saeaemaenen: A♦Q♣
Board: K♠6♦2♣J♥2♦

The money bubble continues. The next player eliminated will leave empty-handed. The remaining players will lock up $2,000. The final 9 players will bag up for Day Two.
