Tejada Scores Double Elimination (Flight H)
With blinds at 10,000/20,000/20,000 on the Day Two bubble, a multiway all-in would lead to a double elimination.
Juan Tejada open-jammed for 485,000 from the lojack. John-David Seelig was in the cutoff as the short stack with 104,000. Seeling called to put himself at risk.
Brian Richardson then moved all-in from the button for 423,000.
There was now 362,000 in the main pot with 638,000 on the side.
Seeling: A♥8♠ (all-in)
Richardson: K♥K♣ (all-in)
Tejada: Q♣T♣
Board: Q♠9♣8♣7♥J♠
Richardson was in a great spot initially but both Seeling and Tejada connected with the flop. Seeling paired his eight while Tejada flopped a pair, a flush draw, and a gutshot (plus a gutshot straight flush draw).
The 7♥ on the turn changed nothing but the J♠ on the river straightened out Tejada for a massive double elimination.
Seeling was eliminated in 6th place for $400 and Richardson was eliminated for a Day Two min cash.
Tejada: 1,062,000
Richardson: eliminated
Seeling: eliminated
