Serrano Soars into the Chip Lead, Kogel Exits
Nathanael Kogel opened to 60,000 from UTG and the action folded to Eric Serrano in the small blind who three-bet to 210,000. The big blind quickly got out of the way and Kogel called to see a flop of 2♠6♥7♠.
Serrano continued for 150,000 and Kogel called to go to the turn 4♣. Serrano fired for another 385,000 and after some thought, Kogel made the call.
When the 6♣ hit the river, Serrano unloaded the clip and announced he was all in, covering Kogel who still had over 1,300,000 in front of him.
After nearly two minutes in the tank, Kogel set out a stack to signify a call.
"Two-pair," Serrano announced and confidently tabled K♣K♥ while Kogel tapped the table as he dejectedly flipped over 10♥10♠.
"Good luck, guys," Kogel told the table as he headed to the payout desk while the monstrous pot was shipped over to Serrano to make him the dominant chip leader.
