Normand Has a Plan

Kris Burchfield opened to 12,000 and was called by Derek Normand and Hongying Shen to see a flop of A♣5hK♣. 

Shen then led out for 15,000 and was called by both opponents to continue to the turn Q♥. 

Shen and Burchfield then checked to Normand who bet 35,000, which they both called to see the 9♠ fall on the river. 

The action checked once more to Normand who thought for a bit before he moved all in for 100,000. 

Shen went into the tank for almost a minute before she shook her head and folded, cursing under her breath. 

Then it was on Burchfield, who went deep into the tank, running every possible scenario in his head. 

"What you got, the king of hearts?" Normand asked him. 

"Better," Burchfield replied. 

After another two minutes, Burchfield finally folded, claiming to have had ace-three for a pair of aces. Normand then showed ace-ten for a stronger ace, but then Shen smacked the table because she folded ace-jack. 

"My plan almost worked perfectly! I get her to fold the better hand and get you to call, it would have been perfect!"
