On a heads-up turn of 9♠7♥2♦5♥, Jesse Mason led out for 25,000 but then Rolando Reyes moved all in for around 157,000. Mason quickly made the call to put Reyes at risk and the cards were tabled.

Reyes: J♥10♠
Mason: K♥9♥

Mason was well ahead with his top pair and flush draw, but Reyes could still get there with any non-heart jack, ten, or eight.

However, the river came the 2♥ to improve Mason to a flush and Reyes was sent to the rail.

With his elimination, the surviving 8 players have bagged up for Day 2 as follows:

Gordon Granger - 989,000
Victor Reyes - 648,000
William Lamar-Boone - 648,000
Blake Whittington - 509,000
Jesse Mason - 404,000
Jacob Phillips - 301,000
Bruce Vandevort - 235,000
Brandon Rhodes - 188,000
