Day 2: Ha Spikes River to Scoop; Doney and Wieland Exit

After a preflop betting frenzy, Joel Doney, Carson Wieland, and Thai Ha got all of their chips into the middle, with Wieland covering.

Doney: K♣Q♥
Ha: A♦K♥
Wieland: 8♦8♠

Wieland was in the lead with his pocket eights, but the flop of ♥9♥2♥ gave him a big sweat as both opponents had flush draws, and then the turn 3♠ gave Ha even more outs to a straight, but it was the A♣ on the river that gave the pot to Ha and sent Doney to the rail.

Left short, Wieland managed to double up through Derrick Normand soon after, but ultimately was eliminated as his ace-king was bested by sevens followed by his ace-nine beaten by ace-queen.

Ha - 1,150,000
Normand - 510,000
Doney - 0
Wieland - 0
