Quick would need to improve to stay alive as she was out-kicked by Khodour's eight. 

"Deuce!" she shouted as the turn came the 4♣, and sure enough, the 2♠ smacked down on the river to give her two pair to take the pot. 

"Well, I guess you called for it," Khodour said, shaking his head as the chips were pushed over to Quick.
