Sharp Nearly Doubles; Goya Out in 12th

Andrew Sharp is not in the parking lot. AQ got there.

Blinds had just gone up to 75,000/125,000/125,000, Andrew Sharp open-jammed the cutoff for 2,700,000. Alex Goya went all in for roughly 2,175,000 out of the small blind and tabled jacks. He was ahead but at risk.

Goya: J♠Jc
Sharp: A♠Q♦
Board: A♦9♠6♠8♠4♣

There was no waiting for Sharp's "parking lot hand" as the flop brought an ace. Spades started to flush out on the turn but Sharp had spades covered anyways. Goya needed a two-outer on the river but it did not come. Goya was out in 12th place but did manage to ladder for nearly $2,000 more collecting $8,490 on the day.
